“The purpose of a book signing is not to sell your book but to market yourself to your audience”, said the owner of the Center.  The Center will have an Author Expo on December 6, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  The authors will be selling, signing, and reading their newly release book.  The owner believes that “the success of an entrepreneur is based on how well the entrepreneur market themselves.  This event is an opportunity to jump start that success for local authors”

This is a free event to the public and an opportunity for the community to met their local author.

Burke Business Center celebrated one year in business at 102 South Ridgeland on November 8, 2008.  The Center has celebrated one year in business because of their dedicated customers who stop by for a hot cup of Intelligentsia coffee on their way to work; their cheerful students from Julian who stop by for smoothies and hot chocolate before heading home, their loyal entrepreneurs who utilize the business center and conference room, and their studious students who take advantage of their cost-efficient computer training sessions.   The owner and staff at the Center will like to say “THANK YOU”

Happy anniversary

Kenya coffee is back in season and the Center has the brewed coffee and coffee beans for sale daily.  There is nothing like Kenya’s uniquely soft sweet finish with hints of thistle honey, caramel, nougat, and milk chocolate that will inevitably leave your lips curled in a smile and your taste buds petitioning for another glimpse.

The Center is having a food drive.  If you bring in three cans of food, you will receive 10% off your beverage.  Also, the Center is selling clothes for $1.00 to raise more money to purchase food for the homeless.  Your help in this effort is greatly appreciated.
